Geological Museum

The Geological Museum of Korea Institute of Geosciences and Mineral Resources is the only geology-oriented research institute in Korea. This museum displays 2,000 kinds of geological specimens including minerals, rocks and fossils Furthermore, the big model of the earth, tyrannosaurs, triceratops and the fossil of dinosaurs¡¯ egg discovered in the Korean peninsula are displayed.

Currency Museum

The Currency Museum of KOMSCO was established on June 22, 1988 in order to perform an education function, not only through the systemic exhibition of such historical materials as domestic and foreign currencies, but also tracing the history of the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation since its founding. In this way the Museum will contribute significantly to the promotion of the general knowledge of currency culture and the improvement of currency making techniques. The Museumwith a floor space of 620 Pyung on 4,2000 Pyung of building site is 2nd floor building with traditional tiled roof on the top. This museum consists of four permanent exhibit halls, special exhibit hall, seminar rooms and lounges and displays 5,600 items of 110,000 currency materials according to times and types. Thus, visitors can see the history of national currency representing a thousand year at a glance.

Natural History Museum, CNU

The Natural History Museum, CNU, located in Chunggnam National University, is equipped with exhibition hall, study rooms, audio-visual rooms, storage and organizing rooms for treasury, library, museum, shop, administration office, and mechanical room with more than 2,000 historical treasuries as well as 1,000 data for teachers. In the exhibition hall, there are chipped stone tools from the Old Stone Age, clay bowls and stone implements from the Neolith, the pattern less earthenware and bronze sword from the Bronze Age, various clay bowls and dishes from the period of the Three States, the celadon porcelain from Goryeo Dynasty, porcelain from Chosun Dynasty, paintings, books, recent folk data, and other information is displayed according to the time order.

Daejeon Prehistory Museum

The Daejeon Prehistory Museum is a museum specializing in the prehistoric age and located in the prehistoric site in Noeun-dong, Yuseong-gu that was discovered in 1997. The exhibition hall contains 'Noeun prehistoric culture hall', 'prehistoric culture hall', 'neolith culture hall', 'bronze culture hall', ',Experience information hall', and 'outdoor experience center.'

Yeojin Gallery

Yeojin Gallery is a good place to see both traditional and modern Buddhist art at a glance and is run by the director, Yeojin Leejinhyeong, who is appointed as the 6th intangible cultural asset in the field of sculptural art of Buddhist statue. This place also can be utilized for the theme park providing people with the rest place as well as reappearance of traditional Buddhist statues and pictures.
