The issuance of ordinance 111 of the government-general, the Bugun-myeon of the district as well as Hyeonnae-myeon of Hoedeok-gun, Jinjam-gun, and Gongju-gun were reorganized to establish Daejeon-gun.

- As the new institutional system for the myeon was put in operation, the Daejeon-myeon in Daejeon-gun was appointed as a representing myeon of the district.

- The Daejeon-myeon in Daejeon-gun was elevated to the Daejeon-eup.

According to the ordinance of the government-general, the Daejeon-gun was repealed while the Daejeon-eup was elevated to the Daejeon-bu.

- After the liberation in August 15, 1945 and from November of the same year to the establishment of the Korean government in August 15, 1948, Korea was under the U.S. military administration for 3 years and during this period, the system of Daejeon-bu remained same. As the Local Government Act was executed, the name Daejeon-bu was renamed as Dae-jeon City according to the 32 articles in the law (Promulgated on July 4, 1949).

- The whole area of Yuseong-eup was incorporated to the Yuseong Branch Office, which was newly established as the jurisdiction of Jung-gu in Daejeon City.

- The Yuseong Branch Office in Jung-gu was elevated to the Yuseong Branch Office that came under the direct control of the municipality (involved the 25th legal Dongs and 4 administrative Dongs).

- The whole area of Gyesan-ri, Jinjam-myeon, Daedeok-gun was incorporated to the Yuseong Branch Office, the one under the direct control of the Daejeon City.

- With the establishment of Seo-gu (South district), the name of jurisdiction for Yuseong Brand Office was amended from Jung-gu to Seo-gu.

- The jurisdiction of Won-nae, Gyocheon, Daejung, Yong-gye, Hakha, and Gyesan-dongs in Seo-gu were assigned to Yuseong Brand Office.

- As Daejeon City was elevated to a city under the direct control of the central government, Yuseong-gu was newly established.

- The name of Daejeon City, a city under the direct control of the central government, was amended to Daejeon Metropolitan City.

- The name of the administrative Dongs were amended from Sinjam-dong to Jinjam 1-dong and from Wonnae-dong to Jinjam 2-dong.

- The administrative dongs like Tan-dong and Oncheon 2-dong were combined as Oncheon 2-dong and Jinjam 1 & 2-dongs were combined as Jinjam-dong.

- Due to the division of Oncheon 2-dong, Noeun-dong was newly established.

- Due to the coordination of the public library in Yuseong and the sports facilities management center, the culture and sports facilities management center was newly established,
